Job Description

Position Adjunct faculty teach day and/or evening courses in Anthropology and/or Sociology, such as Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, Introduction to Sociology, The Sociology of Race, Ethnicity, and Culture, and Social Problems. Adjunct faculty are selected based on the needs of the program, applicant proficiency, course availability, and student enrollment. Location Catonsville, Owings Mills, Essex, or Dundalk campus or off-site location Compensation Adjunct level 1 - 1,085 per credit hour. Minimum Requirements A minimum of a Master\'s degree in Anthropology or Sociology or a related field. Prior teaching experience preferred. Class Specific Essential Duties Adjunct faculty are expected to prepare and deliver course instruction, follow common course outlines and policies, utilize the CCBC learning management system, grade, critique and evaluate student work, provide timely feedback to students, keep and submit accurate classroom records, communicate with the discipline coordinator, and attend required training sessions, professional development and departmental meetings. #J-18808-Ljbffr New River Community College
