Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a financial professional like you to provide outstanding customer service to clients in our Investments Division. As a Financial Consultant , you will experience all aspects of German American's culture and values while working with clients selling investment products and brokerage services. With your active engagement, you will utilize your deep knowledge of financial markets and the client needs to determine and recommend appropriate investment strategies and products to meet the clients' short- and long-term goals.

What You'll Do:

• The Daily Grind - You will spend your time face-to-face with clients, explaining and selling a broad range of investment products. Working with both new and existing clients, you will be responsible for opening and maintaining client accounts. Daily duties will include processing of customer and broker purchases and sale orders of securities and initiating and confirming client orders. Utilizing your deep knowledge of the client's business and personal needs, you will also look for opportunities to cross-sell other services in the banking, wealth advisory and insurance divisions.
• You're Part of a Team - You are a member of the Investments team with a well-established customer base. You will work closely with your fellow advisors, sales assistants, and management daily. You will also collaborate across business lines with the retail and commercial banking, wealth advisory and insurance teams to serve all of the client's financial needs.
• You have to be able to juggle - Multiple and conflicting priorities will come up under specific time constraints. In concert with your leader and other team members, you have to be quick to act when issues arise.

What it Takes:

• FINRA registrations (Series 7 and 63/65, or 66 securities licenses, life and health insurance license)
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to: communicate effectively (written and verbally), maintain confidentiality, work with speed and accuracy, grasp technical information quickly, and work independently and as a team member.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
