Position Description The On-Call Medical Assistant is a vital part of the Clinic Care Team, performing clinical and administrative tasks per HealthRIGHT 360 policies. Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assisting physicians, maintaining supplies, performing laboratory tests (including phlebotomy), and providing patient follow-up case management. Key Responsibilities Medical Tasks: Assist clinicians, perform tests (vision, spirometry, EKG, rapid strep, UA, pregnancy tests), perform phlebotomy, injections, TB tests, and breathing treatments. Preparation Tasks: Conduct patient intake, record vital signs, chief complaints, allergies, immunizations, and complete forms. Prepare examination rooms. Coordination Tasks: Handle patient and pharmacy communications, schedule appointments, monitor clinic quality, and ensure efficient patient flow. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years related experience. Graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program. Desired: Commitment to serving uninsured and marginalized populations, including homeless, mentally ill, substance users, and HIV/AIDS clients. Additional Requirements Background check and livescan clearance. COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (exemptions not accepted).
