Position Overview:

S5 Analytics is seeking a Sr. Cloud Systems Engineer to support the automation and optimization of cloud infrastructure within our Operations, Infrastructure & Support Engineering team. This role focuses on building and maintaining tooling and CI/CD pipelines that streamline the release, deployment, and upgrade processes for cloud environments, while also providing consultative support to application and infrastructure teams on automated build, test, and release practices.

Required Skills:

• Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
• Minimum of 5-years of experience in a technical or infrastructure-focused role
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Ansible (or equivalent)
• Proficient in scripting languages and OS-level automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
• Experience building secure, scalable cloud environments and contributing to design and architecture discussions
• Demonstrated ability to automate deployment processes and eliminate repetitive tasks for consistency and efficiency
• Active participant in incident response and root-cause analysis, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Flexible and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and align with customer priorities
• Excellent team collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Skills:

• Security+ Certification or the ability to get certification within 3 months of hiring
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology
• Azure, AWS or similar Cloud Provider Experience
