You may have read it in school, but until you see it performed you cannot truly appreciate the brilliance of Shakespeare’s work. Part comedy, part tragedy, Romeo & Juliet takes one of literature’s greatest works and makes it easy to understand for any audience!

Romeo & Juliet will be performed in one of Springfield’s most beautiful new venues: The Springfield Metropolis. A former church renovated into a event/wedding space, the Metropolis provides the perfect setting to experience Romeo & Juliet. The Metropolis is located downtown at 102 W High St, Springfield, OH 45502.

The show will run approximately two hours with a 15 minute intermission

Is this show appropriate for children?

Recommended Parental Guidance: Romeo & Juliet includes themes of violence, death, suicide, and romantic relationships

Do I need to understand Shakespeare to enjoy the show?

Absolutely not! Our actors bring the text to life, allowing the audience to experience the action rather than trying to interpret it from the text. Everyone from a first time theater goer to an experienced Shakespeare scholar will be able to understand and enjoy the show!

Is the Metropolis wheelchair accessible?

Yes! There is an accessible entrance, and accessible parking available on the premise.

Are tickets reserved or general admission?

Tickets are General Admission, this means that seating is first come-first serve once you arrive at the Metropolis. However, due to the immersive nature of the show, every seat is a great seat and will have you close to the action!

Will there be concessions or merchandise?

The Metropolis has some light snacks and drinks available for purchase before the show and during intermission
